Thomas Crone’s Memory Hall is weekly newsletter with a flexible, personal memoir format. It’ll be geared toward stories from my dual citizenship in New Orleans and St. Louis; though another recent home, Salt Lake City, will make cameos, as well.

Memory Hall’s a place where I can luxuriate in midlife musings. If you’re following the page, you likely already know me. If so: “hello!” And if not, it’s “nice to meet your digital self!” You’ll get to know me reasonably well within a newsletter, or two. Or check my Notes page for more.

I’ve also added two subsections to the page over time: Silver Tray will be an ongoing exploration into St. Louis’ musi(c)ulture; while Artica Ever After will be a sprint through the history of the St. Louis-based Artica arts festival.

Every new edition of the newsletter can go directly to your inbox. (Look in your “promotions” and/or “spam” folders if these weeklies don’t find their way into your inbox.) Please note: you can also receive the weekly Memory Hall ‘letter or the subsections, based on your email preferences.

Support

While my subscription options offer a paid option for the moment (long story!), this newsletter’s free. Writers receive about 80% of online subscriptions, with the balance going to Substack and the payment processor Stripe. At this point in time, my preference is to write for free.
